The CGAC is participating in the fourth edition of the Contemporary Music Sessions that, since the nineties, have been held in the city of Santiago de Compostela. Their purpose is to promote and share the latest trends in innovation in the field of music.

The activity, interrupted for a number of years, was resumed in 2012, as a result of the initiative and coordination of the Santiago City Council, the University of Santiago de Compostela and the CGAC. It continues to reflect the institutional enterprising and collaborating spirit that characterised the project during its early stages.

Since 2013, the Santiago Contemporary Music Sessions have also received the support of the Fundación Cidade da Cultura and collaboration in the organisation, programming, growth, dissemination and design from the Centro Nacional de Difusión Musical (National Centre for Music Dissemination) and the Instituto Nacional de las Artes Escénicas y la Música (National Institute of Stage Arts and Music).

Finally, this year’s sessions also include aDesTempo, a full programme of concerts and encounters for children, young adults and families.
