WORKSHOPS FOR FAMILIES 2022. A JOURNEY TO PERÚ
We return with a new edition of Workshops for Families at CGAC, continuing our journey around the world through the art and cultures of different countries. This time, we travel to Peru, where we will discover two very different artists: Sandra Gamarra and Aldo Chaparro. We will explore their works, not only to inspire ourselves but also to understand their history, play with colours and volumes and discover that things are not always quite as they seem, and that we have the power to change them!
An Ideal World. Sandra Gamarra
Saturday 2 April. Families with children aged 4-6
Sunday 3 April. Families with children aged 7-9
Inscription: from 24-31 March
Sandra Gamarra is an artist who loves history. She is eager to know and learn how the world works, because she is convinced that art can serve to improve it.
In this workshop, we will learn to narrate stories starting from chance, we will play with the collage, words and images to create surprising combinations. We will also discover what happens when we modify just one part of everyday objects, affording them another meaning, and we will use our imagination to build our own ideal world.
The Rebellion of the Shape. Aldo Chaparro
Saturday 21 May. Families with children aged 4-6
Sunday 22 May. Families with children aged 7-9
Inscription: from 12-19 May
The relationships between painting, design and sculpture are essential in Aldo Chaparro’s work. Playing with the combination of shapes and colours, we will work with different formats and materials and learn to express feelings through our hands and the objects used.
