An opportunity for dialogue, commemoration and reencounter, as the museum today is the result of the collective endeavours of the centre’s teams and its directors, and for a discussion on the ideas and proposals put forward with and for different audiences.
An excellent occasion for conveying to the public the importance of a project that they must feel a part of, emphasising its collective nature.

INAUGURAL TOUR OF JAVIER RIERA’S ART INTERVENTION IN BONAVAL PARK
Hall, CGAC’s Project Space and Bonaval Park/ Free Admission
The work of Javier Riera is based on geometrically-shaped light projections, cast directly onto the natural backdrop. He uses photography as a means of recording and disseminating what is happening, without digital manipulation. His work is focused, therefore, on an experience of real intervention related to the ‘space and time of the landscape,’ in line with the Land Art proposals.
The relationship between geometry and nature acquires a musing character in this work, appealing to a coexistence of the public with the power of suggestion emanating from the changes in the landscape they are witnessing, which aspires to broaden their perceptions, building bridges towards hidden qualities and dimensions of the spaces in which it is taking place. Riera understands geometry as a natural language prior to matter, capable of establishing a kind of subtle and revealing resonance with it.
Screenings in the park will be held on 27, 28 and 29 September and on 6, 13 and 20 October, from sunset unntil midnight. The public will be able to enjoy this presentation by accessing the park via the entrance flanked by the CGAC and the Museo do Pobo Galego.

CONCERT: BOMBINO, ROCK TUAREG

Friday night brings us Bombino in concert, fusing traditional Berber rhythms with the energy of rock.
Bombino will present their new album Deran (Partisan Records, May 2018) along with theTouareg performer Ilias Mohammed on guitar and vocals, the American Corey Wilhelm on drums and percussion, the Mauritanian Youba Dia on bass, the Moroccan percussionist Hassan Krifa and with Anana ag Haroun Assouf and Toulou Kiki on backing vocals.
An album that traces a path through the desert via the mysterious contemporary sounds of the Sahara.

WORKSHOP MARATHON
In the grounds of CGAC / Free Admission
The team of the artist Alejandro Marote will hold three workshops on plastic creation, which will be open to the general public simultaneously.
The workshops will run throughout the day, and prior registration will not be necessary. As such, the public can join in any of the three activities at any time during the day.
We will be inviting participants to create and intervene in different geometric structures forming a large installation.
Equipo A Workshop
In this printing workshop, participants will learn silkscreen printing in various colours. We will use cut-outs of photography silhouettes to design our own models. Participants can bring their own items of clothing on which to print their designs. The CGAC will be giving away 25th Anniversary T-shirts and cloth bags to the first to arrive on which to print their designs.
Megalópolis Workshop
This workshop will help us reflect on the city of the future and sustainability. We will analyse the geometry founded by and contained in nature and create models of buildings made out of recycled cardboard, and intervene using different plastic processes, such as silkscreen printing, painting or the collage. The result will be the joint construction of a megalopolis, which will be hung in the form of an icosahedron in a large swinging structure. A small but great artistic, fantastic and collaborative planet.
(Meta)morphosis Workshop
In this activity we will experiment with the process which goes from figuration to pure abstraction, and the work will revolve around geometry and the fractals that exist in nature. We will start out with a large 4-metre-high sphere in which we will intervene, in collaboration, using different plastic techniques in order to build a great polyhedron sculpture.

DJANGO, GYPSY SWING
In the grounds of CGAC
To mark the 25th Anniversary of the centre, the Galician band Aló Django will provide the midday entertainment with a musical repertoire inspired by jazz and the Manouche gypsy music which originated in central Europe in the 1920s.
Weather permitting, the entertainment will take place on the esplanade in the grounds of CGAC, or in the cafeteria if it rains.

SUNDAY, 30 SEPTEMBER

We propose taking the audience back to the 1920s once more with this selection of films to celebrate the CGAC’s 25th Anniversary.
The band Caspervek Trío will perform live Brais González’s soundtrack for the 1926 movie masterpiece The General. An action-packed comedy for all ages, directed by and starring Buster Keaton, which will be shown in the CGAC auditorium.
