DISCOVERING CONTEMPORARY ART. Face-to-Face and Online Educational Sessions for Primary Education
This programme aims to connect schools with contemporary art and to encourage young people’s engagement with the artistic practices of their time.
Through these educational sessions, delivered both in person and online, participants will be introduced to a range of contemporary artworks, exploring the diversity of media, materials, ideas, perspectives and experimental approaches present in contemporary artistic practice. Throughout the session, the presentation of artworks will be combined with creative activities designed to encourage active participation and dialogue with students.

FACE-TO-FACE SESSIONS
Duration: 90 minutes / Capacity: up to 25 participants
Following the presentation, groups visiting CGAC will take part in a practical workshop exploring the ideas discussed during the session. Participants will create a collective installation in dialogue with the architecture of Álvaro Siza Vieira.

ONLINE SESSIONS
Duration: 50 minutes / Capacity: up to 25 participants
At the end of the presentation, groups taking part online will be invited to develop a collective artwork using natural materials in dialogue with the indoor or outdoor spaces of their school.
Technical requirements: Schools should have access to suitable equipment for an online session (computer with camera and microphone, speakers, and a screen).

Once confirmed, schools will receive full instructions for accessing the online session.
