Synopsis: documentary that includes interviews to family members, friends, intellectuals and experts on the areas that Valentín Paz-Andrade (Pontevedra, 1898 - Vigo, 1987) developed throughout his life. The basic structure strives to provide a twist in the theme by alternating a series of different themes that reach their full logic at the end, in such a way that all the parts are essential. It is a formal attempt to approach the figure of an intellectual who at the same time was also interested in different areas such as politics, essays, law, art or business management.

Synopsis: In this documentary the figure of Roberto Vidal Bolaño (Santiago de Compostela, 1950-2002) is shown not as a subject for study in itself, but as an element of temptation; in other words, the purpose is not to exhaust the subject by answering all the questions that could arise when studying his life and works. Rather, the aim is to teach and entertain at the same time, as well as to awaken the interest of spectators in his writings so that they will want to attend the stagings of his plays.

A documentary designed both for people familiar with the work of Lois Pereiro and for literature lovers in general, for not only are the essential elements in his life and in the texts presented, but it also includes a profound reflection on literature. It also includes the artistic collaboration of poets, declaimers and musicians who bring us closer to the poetry of Lois Pereiro.

Synopsis: This documentary on Xosé María Díaz Castro (Guitiriz, 1914-Lugo, 1990) is a free approach that aims directly at the universe that the poet distilled and systematized in his poems. The film discourse consists of conversations with the participants and includes the landscape that he loved and admired, playing a leading role both visually and acoustically. It even attempts to evoke a synesthetic perception where sight and hearing, touch and smell are also present. Together with this experience, other themes appear that are common to the other works: the approach to the poet as an individual, a writer author and to his work.
Gonzalo E. Veloso´s Vision
During the past three years we have carried out four documentaries on writers acknowledged by the Royal Galician Academy on the occasion of the Day of Galician Letters (Lois Pereiro, Valentín Paz Andrade, Roberto Vidal Bolaño and Xosé María Díaz Castro). I approached these four projects from different angles, but they all share some stylistic and conceptual elements. Although the central theme around which each work revolves is the celebrated author, the weight falls entirely on the participants who give shape to the image of the writer through their accounts (family, friends, colleagues, critics, teachers...). In the majority of cases the people who participate speak in pairs on the author in question. As the director, I try not to intervene in those conversations and thus accumulate hours of material. I later view it and select segments that respond to the concepts of author, work and individual. With these shots I build a film discourse (working in a manner similar to found footage) based on an established structure (diachronic, thematic, etc.) that is unique for each documentary.
