INTERMEDIALITIES: THEATRE IN CATALAN CINEMA

30 May 2013 - 21 December 2017

The series focuses on the relationship between theatre and cinema through five different proposals. El dibuixant and El peix Sebastiano address the creative process and the private universe of the artist Marcel·lí Antúnez, a prominent figure in the electronic art scene and stage experimentation, as well as the co-founder of La Fura dels Baus, an internationally renowned theatre company. On the other hand, Numax presenta and Veinte años no es nada, by the director Joaquim Jordà, reconstructs the autosuggestion experience of the workers of the Numax factory through documentaries that use theatre as a narrative resource. Finally, Màscares by Esteve Riambau, Director of the Filmoteca de Catalunya archives, culminates this journey through the relationship between theatre and cinema by having had the privilege of entering the behind-the-scenes universe of the actor Josep M. Pou, during the staging of one of his plays.

Intermedialidades includes the collaboration of CEFILMUS (Centre for Film Studies of the University of Santiago de Compostela), and the support of the Ramon Llull Institute and Vicerectory for Students and Continued Training.

Attendance and participation in this series can be validated as a seminar (20 hours certificate).
