From 10 to 18 September 2020, the first edition of the Plataforma performative arts festival will be held. Under the concept of performativity, this project attempts to build bridges between visual arts and live arts, music, architecture and dance. Directed by David Barro, Mónica Maneiro and Iñaki Martínez Antelo, the festival was created with a view to networking and seeking the complicity of the greatest number of agents, institutions and spaces possible in a leading city of culture, as in the case of Santiago de Compostela.
Plataforma brings together performances, concerts, dance, poetry, design and contemporary art in exhibitions, actions and conversations, uniting Galician protagonists with internationally renowned names such as La Ribot, winner of the National Dance Award and recently the Golden Lion of the Venice Dance Biennale, who will close the festival with a conversation, a performance and an exhibition in the CGAC.
Among the various events that will take place within the framework of the festival, the following four exhibitions are worth highlighting: the aforementioned exhibition by La Ribot in the CGAC, the one by Christian García Bello in the Fundación DIDAC, Manuel Eirís’s in the Fundación Eugenio Granell, and, finally, Mirar el sonido. Notación gráfica en la música contemporánea in the Auditorium of Galicia.
