After the ‘Great Reset’ triggered by the pandemic and the resulting collective shock, society as we know It is heading towards a recession: degraded and ultra-mutable values, extreme polarisation, a crisis in terms of ideology and resources, generational gaps, the mass integration of artificial intelligence in the creative sphere and a common problem that after sixty years of invisibility is calling at our door. Climate change and the scarcity of resources are a reality that clashes emphatically with the neoliberal, capitalist approach we build upon daily, and although the financial system believes we’ll continue to grow indefinitely, the state of our planet says just the opposite.

In this colloquium, artists and professionals from the cultural, musical and technological industries will debate openly on a future full of dichotomies and uncertainties in a near-dystopian scenario. Ethical and moral matters club proposals must face the impossibility of escaping the past (the creeping cancellation of the future in creative terms), new social, cultural and ecological responsibilities that all artists should address, and even possible biases we’ll soon share in light of the expansion of artificial intelligence and the paradigm of the metaverse.
