COLLECTION: ADQUISITIONS AND RECENT ADDITIONS

In an exercise of institutional transparency, this exhibition presents a selection of the works recently acquired for the permanent collection of the CGAC or added to the centres archives through the deposit of the ARCO Foundation Collection.

Despite the extremely difficult economic situation that we are currently undergoing, the CGAC has not stopped enlarging its collection, not only because this is one of its fundamental missions but also because of what these purchases represent for a sector that is becoming increasingly weaker. Therefore, continuing with its established mission, this exhibit reflects the special attention that the centre has always devoted to the Galician artistic medium, constantly in dialogue with the international context, and more specifically, with Latin America, on which it regularly relies for the construction of the collection.
