Pingas rompentes forms a part of the project A Look at Galicia, which, through the CGAC Collection, examines contemporary Galician creation. On this occasion, we have decided upon a specific selection of works for the context of Galicia's Museo do Mar. A joint tale highlighting the interest in water, its transit and diversions, which are always undertaken from political, aesthetic and social perspectives. Like the drops that break on the rocks, their echoes resounding, we are presented with an ensemble of works embracing the logic of fluids from a unique discourse, which explore the reflections and fluctuating effect of the light, link their intimate memory to the beat of a territory or re-examine history to introduce us to new narratives. Urging us to investigate all that underlies the Atlantic attraction, this exhibition aims to operate within the artists’ imaginations like an armillary sphere through which our most plural landscape can be located.
