1st CGAC AWARD FOR RESEARCH AND RESEARCH WRITING ON CONTEMPORARY ART

On the year of its 25th anniversary, the Centro Galego de Arte Contemporánea is celebrating the first edition of the CGAC Award for Research and Research Writing on Contemporary Art with the purpose of stimulating research and the production of texts in the Galician language on this subject matter.

The winning essay will be awarded with 3,000 euros and will also be published in book format forming part of one of the collections belonging to the centre's editorial line.

On 17 September 2018, the jury unanimously decided that the prize should go to "A arte está feita dunha materia incerta e fragmentaria", an essay by the artist from Ourense Rosendo Cid.
