3rd CGAC AWARD FOR RESEARCH AND ESSAY ON CONTEMPORARY ART

The Galician Centre for Contemporary Art announces the third edition of the CGAC Award for Research and Essay on Contemporary Art with the aim of generating thought on contemporary art in the Galician language.

On this occasion, the writer of the winning essay will be awarded 3,000 euros in addition to having their work published in a book in one of the collections of the centre’s editorial lines.

The winning authors from previous editions are the artist Rosendo Cid (Ourense, 1974), for his reflection on contemporary artistic practice titled A arte está feita dunha materia incerta e fragmentaria (Art is made of uncertain, fragmented matter), and the art critic, researcher and curator María Marco (Vigo, 1979), for her original work Tigres en magnolias. A maxia como transformación na arte contemporánea (Tigers in magnolias. Magic as transformation in contemporary art).
