Synopsis:

Mayte Vieta (Blanes, Girona, 1971) is a visual artist whose practice focuses on space and light, combining photography, sculpture, and installation. Her works create dreamlike atmospheres in which gravity and weightlessness coexist, and where the boundaries between the serene and the tragic dissolve, evoking states of heightened emotional ambiguity.

Through landscapes conceived as non-places of silence and stillness, her work reflects on the suspension of the present and immersion in a new gravitational universe, where time slows down, the moment expands, and the subject merges with nature.
