Synopsis:
With texts by Natalia Poncela, curator of the exhibition, Santiago Olmo, and Isabel Carlos, Nalgures is the catalogue of the solo exhibition by the Australian artist Narelle Jubelin (Sydney, 1960), held at the CGAC in 2022.
Nalgures focuses on the memories of places and the different ways in which they are occupied, drawing on specific cultural references within the Galician context and linking them to other cartographies and references drawn from Jubelin’s biography and artistic trajectory.
Through works from different series by the artist, the book proposes a repertoire of possible discourses that, through groupings and sequences of works, allow a network of interests and affinities to be woven—at times intimate, at others more distanced.
