Novos imaxinarios explores recent cinematic creation in Spain and Portugal, framing it within a reflection on cinema beyond the screen, where the museum galleries provide a specific space for projecting new imaginaries. The exhibition brings together works—either newly produced or shown for the first time in Galicia—by Oliver Laxe, Susana de Sousa Dias, Albert Serra, Helena Girón and Samuel M. Delgado, Lois Patiño, Salomé Lamas, Isaki Lacuesta, and Laida Lertxundi.
Within the exhibition format, each filmmaker presents new works that draw cinematic parables through installation-based proposals spread across two floors of the museum. These new languages offer contemporary perspectives on reality while revealing the narrative and physical possibilities of a medium in constant reinvention.
