INTRAHISTORY OF ARCHITECTURE II. History of Achitecture Course Online
The second edition of the Intrahistory of Architecture course will continue to address cross-cutting areas to this discipline. We will discuss topics such as innovation, architect-inventors, education through the construction game, eco-construction, the rich relationships between architecture and design or architecture and art, as well as the relationships between the architect and the client. We will discuss communities and the masters of architecture, without forgetting the pioneers.

We will discuss topics such as innovation, architect-inventors, education through the construction game, eco-construction, the rich relationships between architecture and design or architecture and art, as well as the relationships between the architect and the client. We will discuss communities and the masters of architecture, without forgetting the pioneers.
We will have documentary screenings and the intervention of architects such as Pedro de Llano Cabado and Manuel Gallego, as well as the presence of different construction agents and clients and users of contemporary architecture in round tables to share their experience.
In each session we will combine concepts such as idea and form, design and user, art and industry, history and contemporary or reason and technique.
We will close the cycle with a participatory workshop through the dynamics of the Lupo System* to take a closer look at the experience of the material and the architectural space in collaboration with the Espiga association.
In this course we will approach the conceptual foundations of architecture. The topics chosen will be cross disciplinary, with the aim of encouraging the participation of a wider public interested in architecture (but not specifically experts in it).

We aim to integrate different media in the sessions and, parallel to this, a third stage is planned in social networks through the Facebook group ‘Club de Arquitectura,’ moderated by Fermín Blanco.
FERMÍN BLANCO (La Pola, Asturias, 1977) has a PhD in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and has a degree in Architecture from ETSAVA (Valladolid School of Architecture). His professional career is steeped in the educational and informative nature of his projects, always within a multi-disciplinary, hybrid scope. Since 2011 he has been a lecturer of Construction Systems at the IE School of Architecture and Design. He began his professional experience with the architect Manuel Gallego (2003-2006) and from 2006 he practised the profession from his own architectural studio in A Coruña. Over the years he has held exhibitions and taught courses and conferences related to architecture, design and teaching. In 2008, he founded Lupo System, an umbrella which currently covers an excellent team of professionals involved in the architecture-education binomial. His award-winning doctoral thesis, ‘Los huesos de Fisac: la búsqueda de la pieza ideal,’ marked the beginning of a series of projects of a scientific-informative nature on the transfer of knowledge from technique and art to society. He currently coordinates, among others, the Nenoarchitecture programmes at the Luís Seoane Foundation in A Coruña, and MIES é + at the CGAC, and he is co-founder of the Ludantia Arquitectura y Educación Association.
TARGET GROUP
The lessons are aimed at students, teachers and the general public interested in the history of architecture and art history.
REGISTRATION
The registration period will be open from 13 January to 24 March 2020. Those interested can send an e-mail to cgac.educacion@xunta.gal stating their full name, ID number, qualifications, area of work or interest, email address and a contact phone number. The places will be filled in order of registration. Each applicant will receive a confirmation email and the precise instructions to pay the enrolment fee.
CERTIFICATION
The CGAC will issue a certificate to all those who attend at least 75% of the sessions.
