Activities

The CGAC's Activities and Pedagogical Department develops its programme with a primary goal: to bring art to society through the rigorous analysis of critical issues inherent in contemporary artistic activity.

Film seasons and conferences, workshops, seminars and concerts, make up the centre’s fundamental offer of activities, aiming to involve a wide range of audiences from the professional sector of the world of art and culture to an increasingly larger group of artists and fine art and history students, not to mention all those interested in the evolution of art and aesthetic reflection.

At the same time, the CGAC develops specific programmes for schools and colleges as well as guided tours, with the purpose of providing the various groups who come to the museum with the necessary tools to understand contemporary art and, from there, the world we live in.

Este proxecto, organizado xunto á Asociación Cultural Sen Marco, trata de aplicar as teorías artísticas de Mónica Alonso e nace co desexo de poñer as manifestacións artísticas contemporáneas ao servizo dos nenos e nenas hospitalizados/as e dos seus familiares, nun intento por mellorar a súa calidade de vida durante unha situación sempre difícil. Ao involucrar os nenos e nenas no proceso creativo que supón a realización dunha obra de arte…

9 febreiro O auditorio do CGAC acollerá o Foro DAG: propostas de avance para o deseño, unha iniciativa da Asociación Galega de Deseñadores dirixida a todas as persoas interesadas no deseño e no papel que este debe xogar na sociedade actual.

21 e 26 decembro Fotografar un espazo de arte contemporánea, camiñar na procura da mirada persoal arredor das exposicións e do edificio de Álvaro Siza ou o parque de San Domingos de Bonaval é a proposta do fotógrafo Fuco Reyes (Santiago de Compostela, 1965) para esta sesión de achegamento que vincula imaxe e arquitectura.
