THE FUTURE OF MUSEUMS IN RAPIDLY CHANGING COMMUNITIES. Museum Week 2025

12 May 2025 - 18 May 2025

The goal of International Museum Day (IMD) is to raise awareness among visitors about the importance of museums as a platform for exchange, cultural enrichment, collaboration, mutual understanding and peace among peoples. IDM is held around 18 May with the participation of 158 countries and territories from all over the world.

The slogan chosen by the ICOM (International Council of Museums) for this year’s edition is ‘The Future of Museums in Rapidly Changing Communities.’ The idea is to boost the adaptation of museums and the communities of which they are a part to the challenges of a changing world marked by technological, social and environmental transformations.

This year, in the family workshops we’ll explore the work of a series of Iranian artists that reinterpret their culture from a contemporary perspective.
